Electrotherapy is the use of electrical currents via electrodes placed on the affected region to block pain, decrease swelling, and retrain muscles. There are many forms of electrical currents used for different purposes.

Common electrical modalities such as TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), IFC (Interferential Current), and NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation) provide pain relief, increase circulation, and enhance muscle retraining.

Electrotherapy can help with conditions such as tight muscles, joint sprain/muscle strain, and muscle atrophy.
