Exercise prescription is the use of specific exercises to help get you back to your normal activities. It can include strengthening, stretching, endurance, stability exercises, as well as appropriate training progressions.
Exercises are an integral part of proper rehabilitation. An injury results in damaged and weak tissues putting the area at risk for re-injury. Furthermore, you can alter your movement patterns to compensate for pain, creating problems in other areas of the body. A proper exercise program can help regain normal movement, muscle balance, tissue strength and flexibility, and decrease pain.
Exercises can help with conditions like fractures, tendonitis, postural neck/ back pain, and muscle and ligament strain/sprains.
