Elizabeth received her Masters in Physical Therapy and Bachelors in Human Kinetics with a specialization in Exercise Science from UBC. She has experience in the health and fitness industry working as a certified personal trainer and weight trainer prior to obtaining her physiotherapy degree. She has furthered her clinical skills by obtaining her Graduate Certificate in Orthopedic Manual Therapy through Curtin University in Perth, Australia. In addition, she is licensed to practice acupuncture through the Canadian Acupuncture Foundation of Canada. She has advanced training in dry needling and received her certification in Integrative Systemic Dry Needling for pain management through a world-renowned neuroscientist, acupuncturist and researcher, Dr. Yun Tao Ma (American Dry Needling Institute).
Elizabeth focuses on providing a holistic and lifelong approach to physical rehabilitation using acupuncture, manual therapy, cupping therapy, rehabilitative exercises, taping techniques, and electrical modalities. Elizabeth treats a variety of clients ranging from work place injuries, acute/ chronic musculoskeletal injuries, to the recreational or competitive athlete. She is keen to further her education to provide better care in the future by pursuing her interest in traditional medical acupuncture.
On her free time she enjoys the great outdoors – hiking,biking, running, and she participates in recreational volleyball, badminton, and gym exercises. She can speak Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
